This is one of Lil B's earlier releases. To begin, the production quality overall has indeed shown signs of age. However, it is still acceptable in this day of age.
I was taken by surprise by the mixtape the first listen. Yes, we have very goofy over the top songs like: Robberversary, B**** I'm Bill Clinton, and F*** My B****. There are a few more in there, but they seem to meld together during the first listen. The only thing that will make such a song recognizable is due to some silly ad-lib, or an element that makes you laugh.
Silly tracks aside, some of the more serious songs like Exhibit Based etc, are quite strong musically. I was impressed by Lil B's lyricism, and flow. He does tend to just barley stay on beat on most tracks, but I can understand it.
Some of the sampling on these tracks is also wonderful. I am in love with many on the instrumentals on this record. There are samples from older 70's or so era R&B, then later 2010's Indie pop songs.
Overall. I gotta give it like an 8/10. Keep an open mind with Lil B, and you can appreciate his art form. However, as a musician he appears to display he objective talents when he feels like it. Nothing wrong with this. Personally I can enjoy silly songs due to the obvious satire he is portraying.
