I’m having a harder time watching these “live footage” movies the more I see them and VHS Viral only adds to the trash pile. They can’t let go of the terrible tracking from 90’s VHS tapes to try and scare the audience to the point that it’s just annoying. Most of the cameras used in the movie are digital and don’t have “tracking”. While I understand that the whole point of these movies is to be about found VHS tapes, this one has primarily digital cameras. The story is harder to follow than the first two and the acting was not any better. 👎🏼👎🏼

I want those 2hrs and 14mins of my life back… Confused by the whole thing. Google searched for horror movies, and this came up. Had good ratings on the tomato scale, but was totally fooled. This is NOT a horror movie. It’s an artsy movie that “makes you think”, but the only thing I kept thinking was “how much time left in this movie?” Maybe I’m not the target audience, but if you’re going in thinking it’s a scary/horror movie, choose something else.

I was really excited about this game, especially with how much I enjoyed Mafia 2. For the most part, I enjoyed the story and completing the game, but that was pretty much it. The graphics were only ok for me. The missions themselves are pretty repetitive, but I loved the southern, 60’s theme they went with. Unfortunately, the game is buggy and glitchy. On the plus side, the achievements/trophies aren’t grind-y. The shooting mechanics feel clunky, and they only seem to get worse with, or without the aim assist. The computer AI are challenging, and I was happy about that, but because of the shooting mechanics, the game just gets frustrating. Also, it seems like the AI takes 10 shots to the body to die, while you take two and then are dead. As far as the driving, it feels a little clunky as well, but it’s also set in the 60’s so I can only imagine they tried recreating driving in those times. The one thing I find to be ridiculous with the driving is when you’re going “90-120 mph” you’re not speeding past traffic. They all seem to be going only slightly slower than you. I highly doubt everyone was driving around at 90 mph during those times. Seems like they overlooked that one when making this game. I’ll be finishing this one and not looking back.
