Wish I would have read the reviews for Thunder Force instead of finding out in real time that the awesome Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer were poorly directed in a subpar script. The set up is S o S l o w m o v i n g it leaves a bad taste in one’s movie enjoyment buds. There’s almost a one hour plot set up, and by then my trust in the director and script had dwindled to a “Thank god I didn’t pay for this movie! It stinks!” Maybe it improves considerably after the duo’s first battle with the miscreants, but I just didn’t care enough to watch and find out. Ben Falcone scripted, directed, and produced this dud and it’s failure is his alone IMHO.

Finally, there’s a sci-fi show on the level of BSG. The expanse has great writing, casting, directing, and production values. Thank you SyFy channel for Seasons 1-3 and Amazon for Season 4…and I hope all future seasons to complete the series.
