I found this one difficult to watch. Too many stereotypes and ridiculous plot. The series ended with way too many loose ends.

A very entertaining series. Colorful characters from all walks of life. Emotional and funny.

Interesting way to show the flashbacks coinciding with the pathologists thinking through possible scenarios and explanations. I also liked the new technician character--quirky and philosophical. The plot is somewhat far fetched but still enjoyable.

Moderately entertaining for a film to watch on the airplane-- a bit of glamour and beautiful clothes. The drama was pretty weak considering the line up of talent. I hated the American actors playing in English with phony Italian accents, especially poor Selma Hayak.

I like the slow burn. Very effective in giving the experience of reality in the investigation. The generous pauses and silences make you feel like you are in the room. Even the interview techniques, with a low key tone, are so distinct from the interview scenes that have become too staged. Even though the plot seems strange (at episode 2) it's enough to stay intriguing. The acting is first rate as well.

I enjoyed this film from start to finish. Very colorful imagery and scenes made one feel what really moved Dickens and how the people in his life affected him. His joy in words and phrases was the thread that helped him see past difficulties. Someone less familiar with the book and characters might not enjoy it as much as I did.

This is a very satisfying show. The detective team has wonderful chemistry with a hint of romantic tension and plenty of light humor. The german partner has a charismatic personality. I'm also enjoying the scenic locations on the island-- a good dose of escapism.

This is quite a story. The subtle way the killer's personality and motive is revealed bit by bit is very effective. You really feel for the victims and the accomplices as well as for the folks trying to catch him. A lot of tension builds with each episode. I haven't finished the whole series yet but it's good to know ahead of time that he ultimately was caught and is in prison now.

I enjoyed the film. The characters were closer to the original story and the Pinnochio's innocence very touching. Gepetto and other characters showed depth of emotion without falling to type. Fabulous costumes and settings. Some of the sharp irony (on justice, education, etc.) of the original story came through.

To me it felt too staged. I didn't feel any sympathy for either party in this unhappy marriage. I couldn't believe they ever had loved one another. No redeeming qualities. This is based on a single episode.
