I read this book a number of years back. It was so heartwarming and filled with info on canine history! I was grieving the death of my husband but I credit this book with turning a page for me. I even wrote the author and he kindly responded. Now a lot of years later I think it is one of my favorite books. Have a dog named Merle now.
