I found it amazing in that it opened my eyes to exactly what confined imprisonment is actually like, for example his vision problems ect... Also what the families endure on both sides. It also makes you realise the difficulties released prisoners that want to do the right thing face. The ending was perfect, the best series I have ever watched.
Why did he confess, well just go and do a bit of research and you will find many thousands upon thousands of factual cases of people of all ages saying they did something that they didn't.
Until your in that situation please don't make light of it.
Would love to see the writers do a series on a family finding themselves decending into a squatter camp existence. People may have more empathy.
