Having read the book first hand, I can say this movie was really poorly done. I feel as if the important scenes that really capture the reader wasn’t portrayed well... and was rather rushed. There a lot of awkward interactions between the characters and silence which throw the whole mood of the movie away. I don’t feel a connection between the characters and feel like everything’s was rushed. The book was amazing and I recommend it 100% but the movie was sorry to say very bad. I understand that when making a movie from a book, not every single chapter and scene will be included but they took so much from the book and added some nonsense parts to the movie. They took some very exciting stuff from the book out of the movie which saddened the Fans of the book. The ending was just shocking, it clearly didn’t follow the books ending, which was so Wonderful that it made you read the next book. Instead it made me hope there wouldn’t be another movie. It was just so boring and I was left wondering what is happening right now. I really hope this upcoming sequel ties all these loose ends and brings the characters and the beautiful moments they shared to life. I as well hope the Sequel follows the book and doesn’t change the plot at all. I’m proud of Anna Todd’s hard work through this movie and hope she improves this franchise because the books are incredible and the movie should be just as incredible.
