I recently watched "The Killer" with high hopes of experiencing a gripping thriller, but alas, the movie fell short of my expectations. Instead of the anticipated aha moment or a stellar conclusion, I found myself trudging through a tedious and uninspiring narrative. While the monologues showcased commendable writing, they couldn't salvage the overall lackluster feel of the film. The central plot, revolving around a hitman seeking revenge, unfolded in a monotonous and calculated manner, leaving scenes devoid of the depth and intensity one would expect from a thriller. The movie's predictability further added to the disappointment, as it failed to deliver the suspense and excitement characteristic of the genre. Despite the protagonist's quest for vengeance, the execution felt empty, leaving me disengaged and yearning for a more compelling storyline. In summary, "The Killer" proved to be a letdown, lacking the essential elements that make a thriller memorable. I would advise others to spare themselves the disappointment and consider skipping this one.
