A great turn based RPG and a good introduction to the RPG genre for people who haven't yet delved into that world yet. The use of 'psyenergy'(magic) in the overworld to solve puzzles and aid progression adds to the depth of the world and plot, which stretches over the course of this game and Golden Sun: The Lost Age, which is a direct sequel following the antagonists. The battle system is reminiscent of most turn based RPGs, but the pseudo-3D view of the battle screen gives the environment depth and character. The characters are well built with goals and intentions that make you care for them and their personalities. Djnni and the class system add another level to the battles as you can experiment with the classes and build your own team with unique psyenergies. All in all, a great game I would recommend to anyone who likes RPGs, or games in general.
