Please tell the lady who was asking tor her House Deeds today, Thursday 24th Oct 2019, not to give up. I was told my deeds had been destroyed when I asked for them to be returned when I paid off my mortgage! The solicitor, the land registry dept, the other solicitors who had any dealings with the house previously, all said they had gone forever and were lost to me. I made repeated phone calls, sent emails, went to the office on two occasions, I was so angry. BUT miraculously I discovered they were still around, in an office in Gt Yarmouth! I HAVE GOT THEM! They are kept under my pillow, wonderful things! A sheet of modern paper from the Land Registry is nothing compared to them. I know how she feels. Carole Barnard
