*SOME SPOILERS*This is probably my most favorite tv show that I've seen in a long time. People that watch this show say Marcella is too dysfunctional or not empathetic enough. However, everyone has their demons, and while she is fighting crime, she has to deal with a lying, cheating, and manipulative husband and people that generally don't believe her. She trusts her gut, and her instincts are usually right. She is brave and has for the most part, had to look out for herself. The plot is very interesting as well and I think every season she grows and understands her blackouts and her emotions better. I mean, not everyone is perfect and I do not believe Marcella is trying to be perfect in any way. She has strong opinions and isn't afraid to voice them, which speaks to her character since women are often spoken over or deemed untrustworthy and dramatic. IF you're looking for a show about secrets and mystery, anger and sadness, essentially about life, I think you'll enjoy Marcella.
