I admit I bought into the hype because of CD Projekt Red (since I knew they were a reputable company). The game overall is okay at best (decent story - took me around 24 hours to beat the main story line with some side quests completed). The world is beautiful but feels empty once you interact with it. No police chases, poor AI, and just an unacceptable amount of frame drops and game breaking bugs that kill the immersion. The weapon choices are decent, but it certainly doesn't feel that great in terms of combat. In my opinion the story line is very linearly (contrary to what they promised), and there isn't much replay ability. Games like GTA 5 hold up much better in most aspects, and have much more bang for your buck.
I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed with this game. I wanted to love it, but I ended up not even thinking about it a week after I played it. It's certainly not bad, but it really misses the mark with so much. There's not much that can be done to fix this game, at least in terms of what they promised. The immersive world, where all choices matter, where you can discover Night City, was really just all a fabricated lie.
