For anyone who has spent anytime in the James bay lowlands or anywhere near Hudson’s bay, you will realize this is not an accurate portrayal of the landscape at all. Deciduous trees, hilly topography all make it a total fantasy landscape. I have no problem with that , just when basing something off actual locations maybe do a quick google search. The show goes on to push agendas which didn’t exist in my country in the 1800s at which point I became totally disengaged with the plot. The substance isn’t there and the drama is lame. Do not watch this show if you care or have any knowledge of Canadian history.
