Sofija Yanez – Google

The movie was fun, and the story was true to the original. My biggest problem with the movie though is lack of contrast. I feel like most of the colors were desaturated and so much of it was so dark. I know its all happening under the sea and at night but it's a Disney movie it doesn't have to be super realistic with that kind of stuff. Some of the scenes were just really dark and muddy, I could barely make out what was happening. That was a bit of a shame.

I enjoyed the movie, the casting was great but I have one big issue with the ending, and that's the reason I can't give it more stars. SPOILERS AHEAD The reason they look for a CEO in the first place is because the company is not well managed. Everyone is working crazy hours, and all systems seem to be hanging on by a thread. On top of that we have Jules' personal problems. She realizes that she can overcome those problems and then chooses not to hire the CEO. What about all the other problems in the company? Those just disappeared? I'm all for feminism and breaking the glass ceiling but the movie glorifies overworking. She got over her personal problems so everyone goes back to working 14 hours a day. Happy Ending.

I couldn't sit through the whole movie. It just failed to captivate me. The characters are so flat, there's very little to no attention given to the relationships between the characters and their development. Flip and Nemo have that very played out dynamic of big lonewolf adventurer begrudgingly taking a kid along on an adventure. And for the rest, she's a sad hermit kid, the uncle likes doorknobs, the school friend is a nerd that's in all of the school clubs... That's it... Literally that's it... Very disappointing

It's a fun show to watch but there's a few problems. Firstly everything is sooo scripted. It always is in this kind of show, but this is really over the top. The other problem is with the everything must be edible, but glued onto a machine, also it's not meant to be eaten just edible... Then why? Like I just don't understand why they cover uncooked noodles with chocolate do that they have an 'edible' element that can't be eaten...

Simply put this movie is a masterpiece. The story is very unique. Most Disney movies (as much as I like them) are formulaic, but not Coco. They got so many little details about the culture, the matriarch family, the chancla, the quirky aunts and uncles... It really touches you. The animation of Coco is amazing. The amount of emotion they capture is breathtaking. I have seen it close to 10 times and I cry every time. And the music is amazing!of course remember me is fantastic, but La Llorona, Juanita, Poco loco they're all amazing. I will recommend this movie to every person I ever meet!

Pretty but disappointing movie. It's ok, but there's no depth to the characters, the songs are way to Broadway and all sort of the same (very similar to Vivo). There were too many characters that weren't developed. A day after watching the movie I couldn't remember half of their names. And the resolution was really poor in my opinion. Spoilers ahead: . . . Bruno loved the family but felt rejected and was essentially banished for years. The cousin knew all along where he was but said nothing for no good reason. And in the end they say oops sorry and it's all good?! That didn't feel resolved at all. Next, the grandma never learns her lesson. The whole point is that the magic is them, the family. But in the end they get the magic back so it's all good. The magic is the magic and not the family.
