The best fright I've had at the movies since 'Alien'; and before that 'The Omen.' Not many real scary shocks since!...Until this!

For the time it was made...fabulous! Glenda Jackson...superb! Costumes, locations and period ambiance...jaw-droppingly exquisite. I was lucky to be in London in 1969 and saw an exhibition of the stunning costumes from "The Six Wives of Henry the 8th" - another magnificent Tudor drama - displayed at Hampton Court Palace. Equally exquisite!
