I stumbled on this movie on Netflix and I was surprised how good it was. Definitely worth watching if you like sci-fi. It didn't doesn't bring anything new to the genre, but the way the story is told is captivating. It's the first movie in a while, where I wasn't looking at my phone while watching it.

Too Michael Bay-y. We have enough of these type of cliché movies (mission impossible, James bond, fast and furious, etc.. ). I lost interest 30mins in.

So let me get this straight, the aliens destroy the infrastructure and the military but 4 kids are able to save the world. Ya, that seems realistic.

Great acting and interesting concept, BUT... a lot of plot holes: How come scientistes couldn't figure out that increasing sound waves will incapacitate the beasts/aliens. If you can, simply, kill the aliens/beasts with guns, wouldn't the army have been dispatched to seek and destroy them?! Why did the parents leave the kid to walk behind them (at the beginning of the movie). The logical order would be adult up front, children in the middle and adult at the back. I give it a 2.5/5

I usually don't like these kind of movies (king Kong). But thought I'd give it a chance because of the big names (Samuel Jackson, John Goodman). This movie was surprisingly very good. It had a great mix of comedy, great acting, action and special effects.

One of the best modern, war, movies. It's a toss up between this movie, saving Private Ryan, hacksaw ridge and Furry.

For the budget the the graphics and costumes are decent. But the acting was horrible and corny. The fight scenes are not very believable, I mean for an advanced alien species they're easly beaten by a bunch a of rag-tag humans.

Do not watch this movie. Horrible acting, script and plot. How this movie got a 89% on rotten tomatoes is beyond me.

Interesting take on the zombie genre type movie. But left me wanting more, something physical for the characters to fight against. I had a couple of questions, why couldn't they look for a bit and then cover their eyes.
