This game is fun, if you like golf video games. But what a flop on the potential it had to say the least. 1. Feels more like PGA Golf Club 2020 than a 2K sports game. 2. The matchmaking is heavily issue ridden. 3. You can’t play 90% of the match modes online with a friend. 4. New divot derby game mode: also fun, but out of 5 times in the final round, the game has frozen 3 times. This is pretty exemplary of the rest of the online experience overall. 5. Justin Thomas is 2x better than the rest of the players in tour/career mode. You basically have to change the settings (event skill deviation) to fix this, but then you get less XP. And there’s no Tiger Woods, and you can’t play as any of the pros unlike all other 2K games. 6. You can’t level up passed 100 7. Equipment is scarce. 8. Gameplay: abnormally easy to hit out of the sand, pine straw, car path (lol), etc. But you can’t hit the ball when it’s in a cm of shoreline near water, it goes out of bounds when still in play, you can hit the ball out of a stadium or in the middle of a house (glitch), etc. Game also accounts poorly for uphill shots, while downhill shots are actually impacted. Chipping is too easy. One might argue the same for putting (compared to Golf Club 2020 at least) but whatever. 9. A lot less game modes than 2K games typically have. 10. Updates haven’t fixed any of the above, only added on. Weird. And I could go on but you get the idea. A 30$ game at best and maybe just a tease for next years game.
