SPOILERS!!!!
This show isn’t that bad, my biggest drawbacks are that the catalyst for the plot was not very believable, and Teela, the main character of this series, was pretty unlikable. In the first episode, Adam/He-man sacrifices himself to save the entire universe. A completely selfless and noble act, but the series focuses on Teela throwing a long tantrum over the fact that no one told her Adam and He-man were the same person. Teela is selfish and self pitying throughout the series, and all the other characters indulge her by feeling that they’re the ones who need to apologize. It made Teela seem like a pathetic, whiny teenager instead of a capable warrior who was about to be made the leader of the royal army. Also, the king’s reaction was similarly unbelievable. He immediately banishes Duncan and threatens him with death; years pass and the king never seems to come to his senses after his initial overreaction. I liked the idea of the plot, but it should have been executed better; Teela should have had a better reason for leaving her responsibilities, and Duncan a better reason for being banished.
