I am stunned at film critics who found the storyline difficult to follow or less than stellar. No, it doesn't end as you would hope. Yes, those who are the most effective workers in any industry are rarely recognized for the leadership they can bring to the company and it only takes one politically damaging person of economic power to forever change a path in life. The story also correctly portrays that a leopard never changes its spots regardless of the opportunity, the motivation, or the sound reasoning presented to do so. Brilliant film by any standard and one of Kline's finest performances. Nobility doesn't play well in today's society as it is, decidedly, a thing of the past. This film is filled with nobility. Bravo Kevin.
