I had huge expectations.. was waiting with anticipation but was let down. I think the zoya akhtar story though a common one still had the eerie factor...Jhanvi, I saw her for the first time and except for the trying too hard to speak in tapori hindi was very convincing and natural. The rest three were sad especially the zombi and bird episode.. I want more..

After having read the book I watched the movie again not liking the movie much. The book had many nuances explaining the character john and his slow and gradual descent to madness. The details of occurrence of 'Shining'giving depth to the story. I feel the movie could have been more gripping if the depiction of the book hadn't been too flaky. I read the book after watching the movie and ended up loving the book more.
