The plot of the movie manages to keep the viewer's interest for a while but the actions of the sailor happen in a random sequence without much real accounting for urgency, logic or common sense. Despite having a gaping hole in the hull, the sailor tilts the boat to the side of the leak, hangs out navigation charts without having a change of navigating his vessel, drinks and shaves with relish. I guess it is a success to have a solo actor perform this story for the duration of the movie but nothing much happens and there is not much the viewer learns about the main character or the motives for his actions. Seems like a wasted opportunity to think more deeply.
