I can't even begin to start with this review, because I'm still in AWE after watching the finale last night. I felt shocked, touched, astonished, and just overall TOTALLY CONTENT with how the show-runners have handled this beloved series written by Leigh Bardugo. Personally, I have read the two series (Shadow and Bone and Six of Crows) before and although the two series are very much well-loved by the book community, I found myself feeling sort of lukewarm about them sometimes. That's why, when I was watching the TV adaption of these two series, I am SO SO happy to see that the shows have actually made the books better!! Not only does it do a really good job of combining the two very different series into a cohesive narrative in the TV show, but also the characters, especially Alina and Mal, are depicted to be much more likeable and sympathetic. For even characters like the Darkling whose personality can be very much larger than life, the show handle them very well. I AM SO SO HAPPY with the tv adaption and I REALLY hope that Netflix is going to do a season two with this series!!!! (PS i really wish netflix will be flexible next season and give Darklina a chance; it will be so much fun and as a fan I LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing the chemistry between Ben Barnes and Jessie mei li)!!! <3<3<3
