Their connection to each other is so beautiful. I cried several times because of how much they clearly love and care about each other. Now that season 1 is over, there’s this big void in my heart because I already miss people I’ve never met. I feel I walked away with a lot of laughs and lessons learned just by watching. Especially with Alan, Dai and Tae. I felt deeply connected to Kazuto and Shun. It’s impossible not to love them all. I really don’t know how they’re going to top this season. But I look forward to the next one. I hope they bring back the same panel as well. They all had different points of view. With no malice towards the cast and their actions. They were all refreshing in their own ways. However, I think they should have more than one openly gay/queer panelist. Please bring on more LGBTQ+ panelists. I just wish they could have gone on another trip, or taken classes together. Some of their best moments were when they were all just talking together.

(NO SPOILERS) The actors were amazing. But the story dragged itself down. Unlike Mike Flanagan’s previous works, Midnight Mass is not a very good mix of emotions and horror. Its a lot of monologues. The priest mumbles most of the show. The protagonist is the least interesting person on the island. Everyone else that is even a little interesting gets maybe 2 min of actual screen time. It’s giving Salem’s Lot but with zero tension. (QUASI-SPOILER) THE SAME JUMP SCARE IS USED OVER AND OVER! You get maybe one scary occurrence per episode.
