This book is the best! Anyone who rated this book less than 4 stars just needs a reason to hate on a perfectly good picture book. The story is so cute, and I disagree with anyone who says it doesn’t have deep meaning. Plus, even if it didn’t, kids aren’t looking for that in a book— they’re looking for something enjoyable and sweet. In addition to the story, the illustrations are amazing. I saw a review that said it made no sense that a rabbit would wear a turtleneck and that a pig would do cartwheels. HELLO? It’s a... KID’S BOOK?! Like, what do you expect, a Shakespeare tragedy? Anyways, Oakey’s Perfect Day is my favorite picture book, and I’d strongly recommend reading it.
