I couldnt make it through the whole movie without feeling filthy so I stopped halfway through. Something just isn't right about being a grown adult, watching little girls rub their privates in a dance. Im disgusted with the movie, the director, the parents of the exploited girls in this movie, and myself for even giving it the chance. This movie felt like one big effort to groom little girls by making them enjoy touching themselves and being looked at. It also disparaged religion as the root of all evils against women and of course the cure is being a hypersexualized child who rubs yourself in front of adults. Disgusting.

I'd say this movie was solidly par. It was great, but it surely wasnt as deserving of the all the hate it received. I don't get it. It was scripted and acted well enough. It just was unoriginal. The dark Phoenix story has been told so many times and the movie just felt like a "get it out of the way" origin story to set the stage for the film they really want to do. Still... I dont understand the hate or how this movie sits worse than movies like Human Centipede.
