Love Ken Follet for his ability to write a great story, always informative, and always well constructed.
In this book one needs to suspend belief. Too many predictable characters. Everybody is a caricature, every event is predictable, even the surprises.
That being said I did read it through, and did find it reasonably enjoyable.
