While watching "Ray" I could not comprehend how a director who created Jatiswar or even Rajkahini could create such a haphazard and expendable movie. 🙏 The acting, screenplay, direction and even the cinematography seemed superfluous. Therefore I am sorry to say that if this was Srijit's way to show his tribute to Ray, he failed miserably at it by churning some distasteful drama out of Ray's brilliant stories. 🙏

A profound movie filled with the aspirations of a commoner but exposing the prejudices and the disparities in society made it a truly profound and captivating movie.
