I think it is very difficult to capture the full life experience of anyone in two hours so I believe the production has done a very good job recreating the life story of Freddy Mercury. It is believable, it is touching, it evokes empathy as well as being an uplifting story of achievement as well as a tragic story of a person not fulfilling their emotional and personal needs. I am not sure how it could have been done better.

A tremendously entertaining work of historical fiction, and the basis for the television series of the same name on Netflix. I originally read this novel in 2005, and after watching the TV series which I thoroughly enjoyed, I am reading it again for a second time, and enjoying it even more the second time. Cornwell's description of the kingdoms of what is now England is fascinating and full of detail but the character development is the most intriguing aspect of the book(s) as it is easy to get wrapped up in the characters of Uhtred, Ragnar, Alfred and Leofric and many others. If you like historical fiction you most likely will really enjoy this book and the whole series.
