Really didn’t enjoy this book, found it really hard to get through as I didn’t connect with the characters at all or find anything about them that made me root for them. Full of ‘lows’ and very little ‘high’ moments, and just seemed pretty mopey overall. Story didn’t go anywhere, and I was genuinely mad at the abrupt ending that made me feel like I’d wasted my time reading it at all. Degrades women to ‘objects’ to be ‘owned’ by men and it genuinely says this in the book, and I was desperately waiting for the main character to develop some self worth. I have no idea why this is so highly praised.
