Something that I love about this movie is that it doesn't hide behind fake stories and plots. It feels like it could have really happened. It was like watching someone's life as it gradually crumbles down. It shows the reality of living as a person, instead of hiding the characters behind a plot. It shows the basic needs of people, I'm hungry, I'm thirsty, it feels hot, I need to use the bathroom, etc. It gives it to you raw, bearing the truth of how it was back then. I think that's what entranced so many people. It shows how it was in their lives, delivering things by detailed animation and storytelling. Overall, it was a sad but beautiful experience for me.
