Look, the critics are beating this movie down because to THEM it is a bad movie. You can't trust them because it's their job to find the bad parts and count them in tallies. They don't care about the amazing parts of this film, they don't care about scenes people have wanted forever, they don't care about the movie or the monsterverse series. As long as you are a fan of Godzilla and you aren't trying to look for the bad parts of a movie, it's amazing. Sure they do focus a little too much on the humans but that's not enough to throw away the movie completely. As long as you go into that theater wanting to watch the movie for fun, you'll have fun watching it.
