I grew up watching and rewatching the original Mary Poppins with Julie Andrews and Dick Can Dyke and while I wasn't expecting the sequel to be as good, I certainly wasn't expecting to dislike it as much as I do. Emily Blunt is an amazing actress but the writers of this film and who wrote the music could have been significantly better. It doesn't draw me in, nor is the adventure in the china bowl or the bathtub adventure anywhere near as entertaining as the chalk drawing.
