I was able to see the location used as the radiation factory. The exterior was filmed outside an existing business that was just west of the DFW airport. Several times I went looking for the locations that they lived in but was unable to find them. This was in 1983 so there was no internet yet to look all of these things up. I really enjoyed the movie when it cam out. I really loved how the 3 main characters portraited by Cher, Kurt Russell and Meryl Streep were done. Especially how Cher was portraying her part. It was a true story that really brought to life the actions required to package the radioactive materials for the build of the power rods in a nuclear reactor. And yes, the ending was very sad. but that was true and still has not been proven on who actually killed Silkwood. A great movie.

I have always enjoyed this movie since I saw it in a movie theater. When it came out of VHS, I bought it. When it came out on DVD, I bought it. When it was re-released on BluRay, I bought it. Stanley Kubrick was a genius.

I remember watching this on TV when I was 9 years old. I actually believed that people from Mars looked and talked like us. It was always exciting to watch each new show. I loved it!
