Gaming Giant – Google

Obviously comedy is subjective, I loved this show when I was about 7, but upon re-watch after the age of about 10 this show lost any pros I used to think it had. The four main characters initially are inherently mysogynistic and racist, with the show having no concept of even an inkling of satire when it comes to these concepts. Instead, the joke is usually one of them sexually harassing Penny. The comedy is generally hard to watch and the laugh track kills any type of enjoyment I might have got from this. I have no idea how its so highly rated, I struggle to sit through any of the episodes and dont intend on ever watching the show again

This is one of the best cinema experiences I've ever had. I think everything that happens is the director carefully constructing the film with such artistry that she has the audience at the tip of her finger. I never knew what was going to happen next and I won't spoilt the plot but I genuinely would consider this essential viewing. Truly masterful in my opinion and the director says exactly what she wants to in a way that is oddly beautiful by the end. Great film.

Watching this makes complete sense when you think of Anderson's filmography after this film. It has typical Wes Anderson snippets of style and serves as a great prelude to a great career. Also, dignan is genuinely one of my favourite characters I can remember, Owen Wilson gives such a funny performance, brilliantly selling someone who is not totally there mentally and exacerbates every situation he finds himself in order to achieve greatness, or what he perceives as greatness. Overall this film is hilarious, beautifully shot and whilst not as complete as some of his other work, is right up there for me in the career of Wes Anderson. A must watch in my opinion.
