Heartbreaking, joyous, liberating and deeply deeply moving. Couldn't sleep for so long after reading it. I knew nothing about this sisterhood of divers, and even less about their lives. So many women in pockets of the world, go on about their lives, uncomplaining, keeping their families together and honouring traditions. It is about friendship that is precious and life affirming, yet one that turns bitter and goes terribly wrong.
