I'm giving this drama 2 stars. SPOILERS I really liked the drama until episode 10, why did Geun-soo suddenly become evil? Why would he betray Saeroyi? Just to win over the girl he loved first??? The romance was not needed, I really loved Saeroyi and the idea of him making his business better and stronger than the Jangga Co. His character is one of my favorite characters of all time. He and prince/king Yi Geum from Haechi (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) they have similar traits and goals. Was it watchable? Yes. But is it my favorite drama of all time, hell no. Just watch it for yourself but it went downhill in the second half... sad I had high expectations for it but it fell short. This is my opinion. They should have stuck to Saeroyi becoming successful, with the people he loved and cared for. No love subplot and KIDNAPPING AND YOU GUESSED IT MORE MURDER!! WHY?! Basically the idea was good but adding drama was unnecessary and not many will agree on this but I don't ship S with any of the female leads, one was immature and way too young and disrespectful and the other betrayed him and kept stringing him along for YEARS, and had the audacity to ask him to drop everything for her, like???? I liked Toni and basically all the other characters except for the two female leads. Yes, there is character growth but did that make up for all the hurtful and straight-up heartless stuff she did and said, no it didn't And it never will, just because YI Seo loved S and wanted to be on his good side she half-assedly apologized for being racist towards Toni. That's when her character fell flat for me. Now that you've read my rant, Id' like to say that it had promise and I enjoyed it but watch the drama and make your own conclusions but what I said, keep that in mind when you watch it though. NOW FOR SOME POSITIVITY. Holy Hell is Park Seo-Joon one good looking man, and his ACTING WAS AMAZING, they could not get a better fit for S even if they tried. Amazing, his emotions felt so real and it made me cry a few times, to be honest... Now go watch it, punk :)
