The downfall of this film is the writing. It's hard to explain how disjointed every action and reaction are, how little sense it all makes, how nothing is ever properly set up... It's a mess. But it's pretty and has Kate Beckinsale, so it was watchable. At one point Beckinsale hides in a hospital newborn ward and when the detective finds her (pointing a gun in a room full of BABIES) she starts throwing babies at her. Which the detective catches with her gun still in her hands. That tells you all.

You ever felt sorry for the actors? I only watched the first episode but wow, didn't realize so much sexism would fit into an hour of television.

You know what would be nice? If talented people in the BDSM community were given the chance to produce good BDSM content, and not someone who'd be thrown out of a sex club. It's bad in every way and I only made it through fifteen minutes. If you liked it, I recommend reading the thousands of stories on offer for free on websites like Archive of our own. In those, if a story features rape and kidnappings, at least it's tagged properly. I didn't think it could get worse than 50 Shades of Grey. Sincerely, a sub with a screenwriting degree.
