It was pretty average. For instance, I expected more from an Oscar winner. I though she was supposed to replace Robert Jr, but her acting is so dry. Or maybe she just does not fit the role. The movie however might be worth watching bc of the fighting scenes, even tho Captain Marvel is sometimes too OP and you already know how the fights are gonna end. Some of the plot points seem kinds lazy at times. And I gotta say the CGI quality dropped A LOT at some parts of the movies. You could clearly see that it was not real, which kinda put me off of the immersion. As someone who watched the movie specially bc of the fighting scenes, this was very disappointing.
