It was a wonderful movie in all respects. Pure human lives were very naturally portrayed by all the actors, thanks to the excellent ability of the director Aparna Sen to get the best from them. The fact that very seasoned actors were employed can be well observed in the movie, blending extremely well into the characters played. The humane poignancy is well presented in the scenes particularly featuring Jennifer Kapoor be it meeting here niece, brother or the last scene leaving her once again in loneliness. Excellent locations, lilting apt music, natural photography all add to the greatness of this simple movie. Kudos to Shashi Kapoor for making this movie although the commercial viability was clearly written on the wall.
