The good parts of the movie were the updated storyline, the cast and the costumes. But everything else was just bad - besides Cinderella, the step sister’s personalities were off (you didn’t know if they were bad or good or thoughtful or shallow). The step mom was sort of nice at one time but then evil (and regretful) the next. The prince was a mix of stupidity and sometimes nice. The princess’s character seemed like an after thought in her random dialog, the fairy god mother didn’t seem to connect with Cinderella, and on and on. In summary, all the characters were undeveloped, their dialog was horrible and some of their personalities just didn’t make sense. Lastly, while I appreciate and love some of the songs picked, the majority were just wrong for the moment; I.e Rhythm Nation.
