This game was jaw-dropping, shocking, and groundbraking in its narrative. Everything that happened was a violent, game-changing, unexpected turn, but it all made sense. The story is nasty, violent, dark and depressing, but cathartic in a way. You won't like where the story takes you, but you will appreciate it for taking you there. The different fighting levels are creative and expansive, allowing the player to work through them however they like, the graphics and sound design is amazing and beautiful, allowing the player to be fully immersed in the world.
Also LESBIAN and TRANS REPRESENTATION!!! 100% love that.
So if you see any review that criticises the "narrative" of the game but uses words like "agenda" and "politics" then they're just mad at the explicit representation the LGBTQ community received in this game. (And no, the trans character isn't Abby, she's just buff).
