An incredible sad, bleak , Nordic, Icelandic film that very emotionally touched the senses ! Obviously the bleak landscape photo shots 'stills' of the same landscape in different times of the year and especially Winter and with no Trees in Iceland made it exceptionally depressing.....a la Ken Loach ! However there were some funny moments that were not intended to be funny - a brilliant acting performance from the main character who had lost his wife and was expressing his Demonic side having found out his wife was having an affair ! His Granddaughter too played a major part - exceptional acting at its emotional best - a stunning performance !
