I am a daughter of parents born in 1939 and 1941. I knew my great grandparents and grandparents both sets, paternal and maternal. I know WWI and WWII affected them. Of course, this is "fictional", yet it rings true. I never knew some family members that never came home alive. I also grew up with family members who were in Vietnam. Also, I am an Army Combat Medic Veteran...Gulf War... This is not totally fiction. During Vietnam hell, I never knew if my loved ones would come back alive. This is fictional from factual history.

I read this book, that I found in the belongings of my maternal grandmother's...belonging to her 2nd husband MSGT USAF Lewis E Chinn, POW in Germany 1944-1945. He passed away in 2008, my grandmother in 2011.As an Army Veteran, even female (LOL GO ARMY MEDICS/ 2AD ALL THE WAY), I really enjoyed reading this book. My step grandfather would be impressed, for the only time, in the few years he knew me and never liked me. His loss. Sending this book to my 81 y.o. dad, for Father's Day...
