after watching the film it occurred to me the actors who had the most critical outlook on the “brat pack” article and aftermath were the ones whose careers didn’t turn out the way they wanted them
The ones who did feel their careers were fulfilling didn’t have that critical view and were like “whatever “ or in Rob Lowes case, actually appreciative making the comment that they are still being talked about 30 years later.
I also noticed that for Andrew McCarthy’s claim that none of them really ever hung out or knew each other, there is sure a lot of footage showing them doing just that
I think they are all great actors who did great work and made great movies.
I felt the most down to earth and sensible comments were from the interviews of the people not in the “brat pack” Brett Easton Ellis for example
By the time the film ended it kind of felt like sour grapes from Andrew
