The movie is very difficult to follow. Characters flit around and don’t seem to be germane to the plot. Above all, in spite of some great animation and special effects, it is so unbelievable and full of ridiculous scenes. There isn’t enough space here to outline all of them but a glass of wine (or two) between those who watched the movie would have fun discussing the fallacies of it. To say it was unrealistic is putting it gently. I sit here trying to grasp onto credible parts of the show (did I mention really neat...though at times very unrealistic... special effects and computer graphics) and find it difficult to do so. Improbable might be the best word. It was a long movie which toward the end made me anxious to see it end and get on with life. I was quite disappointed that a movie maker and actor as good as Clooney would spend so much time and money on a film that he thought would be a winner. Check out the credits at the end of the film! If one just suspends disbelief, doesn’t understand physics and likes to put their mind in recess, the film might be just for them. Star Wars was also unbelievable but it was entertaining and at least had some sort of plot. Midnight Sky either didn’t have a cohesive plot (however it does have a story line...kind of) or I was too dense to see it. If so, I apologize for my ignorance. See it for yourself and see what you think.
