Disturbing!! That said, Joaquin Phoenix captures the role of a Kid who has this pro-life supporter, considering a few circumstances that require abortion. A single parent, with clinical mental illness, adopting an “abandoned” child, then exposing it to multiple dysfunctional relationships with physical and substance abuse, is a recipe for a 5 star mutant child who grows into a major threat to society. And while I know this horrible story captures a very sobering reality, I fear it will become an iconic blueprint for disturbed adolescents on the verge of acting out their video game fantasies. Our country has come a very long way from the time and setting this movie is drawing from. But, make no mistake, it was designed to leverage off the semi annual terrorist attacks that send shivers up all of our spines. The villains in this movie are upper middle class Wall Street Dudes, who are brutally shot, after they beat up in a mentally disturbed strap hanger.. because that ever happened...??? I say.. never in history. I don’t want to spoil the movie for anyone .. But suffice to say, this storyline was surely not written and produced by a republican. Here’s the good news. The movie is so dramatic, dark and disturbing.. it provoked a strong opinion from this otherwise pretty indifferent movie-goer. I just don’t think it’s the right time to offer up an unintended solution to the ground swell of scared and confused adolescents who have emerged from our now Bible-less, hopeless and anti-patriotic Classrooms. It was done all too well. That’s a compliment and an insult. So.. I’ll give it 5 ⭐️ for scaring me. I’ll give it 5 🍅 for the potential negative affects it may have.
