This C-drama is actually based on a novel entitled Juedai Shuangjiao. 'Handsome Siblings' is the second version that I watched, the first one that I watched was 'Supreme Masters', similar storyline but different production I guess, was aired around 1999 - 2001. For this version ('Handsome Siblings'), I found that the 2 lead actors matched the title (they are both handsome, especially Zheyuan Chen) and I love everything about the show, the actions, the wardrobe, the place where they shot, the plot, the songs from OST, the score for the drama, literally everything. Some scenes were so laden with overflowing emotions and just made me shed tears (for example when Lian Xing died in the hands of Yao Yue when she was trying to end the battle between Hua Wuque and Xiao Yuer, it was so unfair for a kind-hearted person like her to die, worse in the hands of her vicious sister). I really love the majestic persona of Yao Yue due to her Ninth Level Pure Jade Skills but the only thing I hate about her is her ruthlessness. Yi Hua Gong looks so majestic though some parts were CGI-ed, and I found out that they actually erected the palace from scratch! I am totally having hangover from watching this series and I want to watch again. If you're looking for a drama with great plot, handsome actors and beautiful actresses, scenic shots, great wardrobe, scenes-to-cry-for, great score, great OST songs, this is the drama that you must watch.
