I see alot of "movies to watch with kids/ families"..posts & lists and sadly, rarely do I see SecondHand Lions. This film is hands down a multi generational, "coming of age" comedy/ drama that has more heart, spirit, and timeless ability to impress and stir an emotional response than 1000 movies made since. From the senior talents and throw back storyline of Michael Caine & Robert Duvals characters to the progress of the modern century wherein they find themselves responsible for an awkward child Haleigh Joel Osmond thrust upon them by a wayward daughter. What ensues is a beautiful story of healing, generational trauma & confronting our past to better see our potential and future(s). Age often brings a frustration; so much happens so fast we're lucky to hold on let alone find happiness.. thats where this film excels reminding us how life when confronted can be something warmer and more special than at first realized! Dont miss the opportunity to share in this wonderful heart warming classic.

1st off I have to laugh at all the negative reviews of this film due to them comparing it to the Disney original- lm**o.. thats just silly to do, its GDT come on yall. if you want a disnet version watch the original! - I have too have to admit I wasnt expecting much from the story of Pinocchio due to being a child of the 80's.. However this being Gullermo del Toros version I should have known better and was pleasantly surprised! The film was of course heart wrenching, darker and full of Del Toros signature genre bending aesthetics; which made for such a wonderful, brilliant and exceptionally beautiful and enchanted journey. From the spectres and guardian spirits of the forest that lend Pinocchio his apirit, to the stop motion, the story arch and setting to the ensemble of characters and back story this version of Pinocchio was as enthralling and mystical as any of Del Toros Master Pieces of cinema.. I truly wish I would have seen it in the theater. *Do be warned, it could be a tough viewing for younger children however I watched it with my 8 year old son and 14 year old daughter and they both along with us parents were just enamored by the whole picture.. ITje story doesnt shy away from the brutality of this world we Do live in, not always something everyone is in the mood for yet it was done poetic and with as delicate of confrontation as possible. Enjoy!

Really 3 & a half stars but since GB, we'll happily round up to nearest star! This Cute, family friendly & children forward long awaited sequal was pleasantly enjoyable due to its genre correct tonal qualities and ghosts being darker thus closer to the original, respectfully so! With so many of the original cast back, except 2 special souls- it was fun to watch the return of the classic team supports the new kids. The only real miss was the franchise re-intro'd sigourney Wesvers Dana Barret character in end of GB Afterlife, it was sad to not see her appear in Frozen Empire alas hopefully we'll see her in the near future🤞🏽.. There are so many silly critiques on line that are over thought or downright wasted emotions.. just sit, laugh, enjoy the set up to get ready for more GB world & ploot expanding sequels likely to follow..

I live Broken Lizard, From the iconic Super Troopers to Club Dread, sorry maybe Slammin Salmon & Beerfest weren't as well written either way pound for pound these guys can make a comedic flick for days no worries.. Still i wasn't expecting too much from a series, on the contrary the formula they pull off falls into place and really warms up by ep. 3/4 and is full of laughs and warm moments around every turn till the last episode. Great work Gentleman, the 2 of you and writers I hope to see the next season!!
