For a quick summary, Captain Marvel is a fine movie. All the negative criticisms about this being "feminist propaganda" or having a "feminist agenda"...I didn't feel any of that watching the movie. The only time where I felt any hint of forced and cheesy feminism was when "No Doubt - I'm Just a Girl" started playing.
There was also a lot of criticism about Brie Larson's lack of expression and personality from the trailers, but I think she did an alright job as Captain Marvel. For taking on the role of a confused, amnesiac, elite alien soldier I think she acted adequately and believable for the most part. In my opinion, her fantastic and strong supporting cast is what really makes Larson's performance come off as being worse that it actually is.
