After my first comments, I sat back and really ponder on why the series went this way, and why all the criticism, though all the thoughts and reflections may be right in our own eyes.
I began to wonder, If this is what Suzette really wanted out there, the truth and how it really was for them, not only Selena but the family and what her father had put them through and what he got them to believe in.
Kids who believe in their dad and thats really how it was in many Latino families,( Respect )
They were so far into to it, there was no turning back, |Selena was so protected and vulnerable and impressionable, she just kept believing in herself and her dad.
There are no people to look the same or be the same as this family,
there are those who are being to harsh on the actress and actors.
The scripts were written and they followed.
When I look at it this way, its a sad long drawn out story, that most likely happened that way in Suzette mind.
Jennifer portraited Selena, the way we wanted her painted, and a great job I might add, but the truth of the matter, it just might of happened just like it was written.
My heart goes out to the actress who tried her best with what she was given but she is not Selena and she knows that, and she admitted that before hand.
We all know what happened to Selena, but we dont know what Suzette knew.
No dis respect to the fans or family, but lets not judge so harshly on the characters, all in all ,they did do a great job, with what they were given and the little they really knew about the family or Selena.
They are people just like us, lets not forget this, my people.
peace and love and respect to all.
I notice how many outside our race were commenting harshly about another Selena story, around my work area in construction sights overseas.
It was disturbing to me to hear this, so lets not knock down, our own, we been through enough as a people.
Let us love and respect Selena and her family however they made it but they made it...
the struggle continues in our blood lines.
God rest her soul,
love you Selena,
and thank you!
Just my personal view, thats all
